Dubai City Tour

Dubai offers a wide horizon of things to observe.  Our trip takes us to some of the city’s most beautiful landmarks.  The magnificent Jumeirah Mosque built in 1979 is a fine example of modern Islamic architecture.  The mosque is the most frequently visited and photographed sight.  Tourists must wear appropriate clothing – trousers for men, long sleeves and scarf for women.  Open to public only on Sundays and Thursdays.  We stop at the Jumeirah Public Beach, pass by Jumeirah Beach Hotel and stop at Burj Al Arab - the most luxurious and tallest hotel in the world.  The hotel soars to a height of 321 meters dominating the Dubai coastline.  We continue our journey as we pass along the magnificent Sheikh Mohammed’s palace and then take a short break by the creek to get a glimpse of the towering skyscrapers in Deira.  Then, we visit the fascinating underground Dubai Museum housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1800 from sea rocks and gypsum to defend the city.  The museum housed the traditional khanjars (curved daggers) as well as musical instruments dated 300 B.C.   Tourists can view the documentary film that feature the early life in Dubai, weapons, tombs, pots and jewelry found during the 3rd B.C.  We continue our trip to the colorful textile market, stop at the gold souq and wonder at the glittering show windows that displays intricately designed jewelry at bargain prices.
